Denver - Five Points
Is Five Points a Good Place to Live:
Location and Getting Around: Bordered by 20th Ave and Park Ave to the south, Downing to the east, 38th to the north, and the South Platte River on the west.
Housing Options: 436 residences sold in 2021. 73 of them were single family homes. Many listings will mention Uptown, North Capitol Hill, Curtis Park, Ball Park, San Rafael Historic District, River North (RiNo), etc. Ranging from $234K to over $1.6M. Five Points continues to be a popular part of Denver being just north of downtown and undergoing a large amount of redevelopment. Even the cheapest 10% of listings are pretty nice. The neighborhood has a cool, wide variety of options - each developer has constructed their own small take on what the area should be like - brand new, sustainable design, renovating 100+ year old building, exposed beams, tall ceilings, box design, Victorian, small houses, tall condos, etc.
Shopping and Entertainment: You are just north of the heart of downtown and Union Station. There is plenty to entertain residents.
Parks and Rec: Benedict Fountain Park, Lawson Park, Mestizo-Curtis Park, Triangle Park, City of Cuernavaca Park - and the most well-known, Coors Field Colorado Rockies Ballpark.
Land Use: Broadway cuts north through the neighborhood, crossing the railroad tracks, and turning northeast to become Brighton Blvd. Brighton Blvd is a trendy street name with a number of new developments going vertical. The western side of the neighborhood consists of taller buildings, more of a city-like atmosphere, whereas the eastern side closer to Downing consists of single-family homes.
